"Hi, I’m Jo, an artist, art teacher and illustrator living in Ireland. Join me as we take a trip through the Irish countryside, discovering the beauty of the natural world, and then drawing the week’s subject in your sketchbook."
This is an interactive six-week course with different delights each week. After viewing brief video footage or photos of the country scene Jo is taking you to visit, participants will have a chance to share their own knowledge of the flower, tree, bird or creature that Jo has spotlighted.
Amateur and pro naturalists are welcome and contributions of insights of the species will be welcome via the chat or live video discussion. No paints or special materials are needed for this course; just bring along your sketchbook and a pencil (and perhaps an eraser too!). All successful artists make use of a sketchbook to draw regularly, and here’s your chance to hone your drawing skills as well as learn more about the magnificent flora, trees and shrubs birdlife, and creatures of rural Ireland!
