Learning the basics of how we can look after our bones, muscles, physical function and mood, all through various fitness techniques. We will be looking at both the physical and mental approaches to keeping our selves as fit and happy as possible.
Our expert speakers will guide you through a range of informative and empowering sessions:
Tim Harris - Introduction into resistance training for healthy muscles, metabolisms and stronger bones and joints.
In chapter 1 we will look briefly at the science behind muscle health and what happens when we introduce resistance training into our lives. We will discuss what kit is best for you and how to make do with objects around the house if you are not looking at buying anything new. All of these exercises are designed for people who have little to no experience with lifting weights and resistance fitness in general.
Chapter 2 will be introduced by Jason Reynolds, a master trainer and pilates instructor. As Jason has over a decade in working in the medical sector whereby he used physical therapy to help move patients away from pharmaceutical intervention, he will be showing and explaining how we can often reduce pain and inflammation through movement and training.
Chapter 3 reintroduces the wonderful Matt Freeman to talk to our guests on the right approach to positive ageing. Matt is a renowned Positive Psychology Practitioner, hosting and running many seminars and events that are linked directly to the Positive Psychology Guild. His approach is very evidence based and can help benefit our aging process through appropriate mindsets and
truly connecting the mind and body.
